Game-Play:

Black Jack is a portable adaptation of one of the world's most popular card games. You play against the computer. Player's cards are displayed on the lower screen and the dealer's cards on the upper screen. Throughout the game the dealer will ask you questions about what you want to do with your hand. Just answer them by pressing the appropriate buttons. You start of with $500 and play to normal Black Jack rules. You can bet a Maximum of $100 a round.

Game differences:

Game B is a bonus game where you try to mach numbers. As the numbers quickly change from 3 thru 7, try to stop each cell on the appropriate number. It takes good timing to stop the changing numbers. Once again you start with $500.

Trivia:

Maximum score is $9,999 and you are allowed to draw a maximum of 5 cards.

Cheats and tricks:

You can use Double Down and double your bet when it is flashing, but you need to have more than twice the amount of the bet in your wallet to do this. Only do it if you have 10 or 11 as you will only get 1 more card. To get a good score risk a lot of money early and then take it easy. If you loose a lot of money in the beginning it doesn't matter as you can always start again.
In Game B, remember the larger the number, the shorter the display time and as more numbers are stopped from the left, the more quickly the remaining numbers change.

Points:

In Game A money is added or subtracted from your wallet depending on what your bet was and if you won or lost the game. In Game B, you only loose half of the money for the intended combination if you get the last number wrong, otherwise if no combination is made $25 is deducted. In Game B the scores awarded are as follows:

bullet3 3 3 3 3       $50
bullet4 4 4 4 4       $100
bullet5 5 5 5 5       $150
bullet6 6 6 6 6       $200
bullet7 7 7 7 7       $250
bullet3 4 5 6 7       $300
bullet7 6 5 4 3       $200

Misses:

The game ends when you loose all your money or reach a maximum total of $9,999.

Other notices:

If you hold in Game A or Game B key the highest previous score will be displayed. If the unit is left as it is after game is over, time display will appear in about four minutes. A game is not interrupted even if TIME key or other game keys are depressed during game playing. Pressing ACL switch or removing batteries erases high score from memory.

Blackjack rules:

bulletThe player (Dealer or Player) whose cards total exactly or are the closest to 21 (without exceeding 21) is the winner. If a player wins the game, the amount bet is added to the wallet total and if the player looses, the amount bet is subtracted from the wallet total.
bulletAn ace can be counted as either 1 or 11.
bulletFace cards (Kings, Queens and Jacks) and 10 are counted as 10.
bulletOther cards from 2 to 9 are counted at face value.
bulletThe strongest hand is 21 by an ace and 10 (Called Blackjack)
bulletA player looses if the card total goes over 21.
bulletA dealer 'stands' if the card total is 17 or more and will take a 'hit', or draw another card if he has 16 or less.
bulletIf a dealer's first 2 cards are 21 (Blackjack) a player looses unless the player also has 21.
bulletIf a player's first 2 cards are 21 (Blackjack) a player wins unless the dealer also has 21. In this case one half the bet is added to the wallet total.
bulletIf the player's and the dealer's cards total to the same amount, the hand is a draw, and the wallet total remains the same.

The battery covers seem to have a number on the back, but they seem to vary a lot and I won't even speculate what the difference is.
