Game-Play:In Bomb Sweeper you start by controlling John Solver by going down a manhole into the underground where you have to retrieve bombs, that Dynamite Jack has planted, before the time runs out. The bombs are set in a maze and you de-activate them by walking on top of them. You can push the walls as long as they are not blocked by another wall. You can't pull walls. Game differences:In game A there are first 10 displays, then a scrolling maze, before the round is finished and you start a new one. Game B doesn't have a scrolling sequence and the mazes are different each time you play. There are 15 displays in each round. Trivia:Highest possible score is 9,999. Cheats and tricks:You can play with the sound off if you press the GAME key while pressing the
bottom of the control pad and start the game. Points:You get 100 points for each round cleared. Every time you clear a maze, the remaining time is added to your score. Misses:1 miss when the timer reaches '0' and the bomb explodes. In game A, you also get a miss if you get squashed by a scrolling wall. With 3 misses (shown by 3 Bomb Sweepers in the top middle of the upper screen), the game is over. Other notices:If you hold in Game A or Game B key the highest previous score will be displayed. If the unit is left as it is after game is over, time display will appear in about four minutes. A game is not interrupted even if TIME key or other game keys are depressed during game playing. Pressing ACL switch or removing batteries erases high score from memory.
Issue Differences (click to enlarge pictures)The table will show how to tell the different Issues that were made:
The battery covers seem to have a number on the back, but they seem to vary a lot and I won't even speculate what the difference is.
