General:Date of Release: 5th June 1980 Model Nr: FL-02 Game-Play:Features a man with two flags. The four buttons control his two arms and two legs. They are numbered 1 to 4. Game differences:
In Game A you repeat the
sequence that the computer gives you. Every time you complete the
correct sequence the computer lengthens it by one. There is also a time
limit, so not too much thinking. Trivia: Flagman was the second Game and Watch made. There was
also a Mego/Time-Out version also called Flagman that was only launched in
the USA. Highest possible score is 99. Cheats and tricks:Well in Game A it is very easy to cheat. All you need to do is write down the sequence on a piece of paper and you can easily reach the highest score of 99. Game B is a bit harder, but if you are 4 people you can have 1 number each and just press your button when it comes up. Points:1 point for every correct sequence finished in Game A and 1 point for every correct button pressed in Game B. Misses:If you make an error or fail to press the button within the time limit, you will get one miss. When you have 3 misses (shown by the figure decreasing on the left side of the colon at the upper part of the screen.), the game ends. Other notices:If you hold in Game A or Game B key the highest previous score will be displayed. If the unit is left as it is after game is over, time display will appear in about five minutes. A game is not interrupted even if TIME key or other game keys are depressed during game playing. Pressing ACL switch or removing batteries erases high score from memory.
Issue Differences (click to enlarge pictures)The table will show how to tell the different Issues that were made:
The battery covers seem to have a number on the back, but they seem to vary a lot and I won't even speculate what the difference is.
