General:Date of Release: 14th October 1991 Model Nr: MB-108 Starring:
Game-Play:With this game Nintendo had reached a full circle with the Game & Watch series. It started off on the 28th of April 1980 and finished in October 1991. This game is a spruced up version of the original Ball game. Here you control Mario, who juggles a heart, a star and a bomb at the same time.Game differences:In Game B there is an extra heart which brings the total to four objects for juggling. Lakitu (the guy on the cloud) and Hammer Bros. (the helmet clad tortoise) are positioned one on each edge of the screen where they independently help to juggle only the hearts. In this game the timing for catching objects slightly shifts, so the game gets quite difficult. Trivia:Maximum score is 9,999. In Game A misses are cleared every 300, 1300, 2300 etc...points. and in Game B misses are cleared only when you get 3000 points. Cheats and tricks:To turn sound off, hold down the LEFT button and then press either the Game A
or Game B button. Points:1 point is scored for every time you catch an object (10 points in Game B). Misses:Three missed catches brings the game to an end. and the game ends. Other notices:If you hold in Game A or Game B key the highest previous score will be displayed. If the unit is left as it is after game is over, time display will appear in about five minutes. A game is not interrupted even if TIME key or other game keys are depressed during game playing.
Issue Differences (click to enlarge pictures)The table will show how to tell the different Issues that were made: N/A The battery covers seem to have a number on the back, but they seem to vary a lot and I won't even speculate what the difference is.
