General:Date of Release: 10th July 1980
Model Nr: MT-03 Game-Play:is a game where you move a man holding clubs left or right. You need to position the man so he can knock the Vermin on the head with the hammer as they appear. Game differences:Game A has only 4 different positions where the Vermin can come from and Game B has 5 (The middle one is also used.). Trivia:Vermin (MT-03) was the third Game and Watch made. There was also a Mego/Time-Out version called the Exterminator that was only launched in the USA. Highest possible score is 999. Cheats and tricks:The speed is accelerated as the score is increased. Game progress is stopped temporarily while a mole goes back after a miss. But be ready for the next mole as the game starts again immediately after the former mole has retreated all the way. Points:A successful hit against a mole scores a point. Misses:A miss is scored when you fail to strike the mole with the hammer. When you have 3 misses (shown by smiling moles on the lower left side of the screen.), the game ends. Other notices:If you hold in Game A or Game B key the highest previous score will be displayed. If the unit is left as it is after game is over, time display will appear in about five minutes. A game is not interrupted even if TIME key or other game keys are depressed during game playing. Pressing ACL switch or removing batteries erases high score from memory.
Issue Differences (click to enlarge pictures)The table will show how to tell the different Issues that were made: N/A The battery covers seem to have a number on the back, but they seem to vary a lot and I won't even speculate what the difference is. Box Variations (Click to enlarge):
